Abstract

Golmehr cultivar originated by crossing between I.L.111 line and Zarghan 279 cultivar in Karaj. The new cultivar and 19 safflower lines and cultivars were studied for grain yield and its stability, at karaj, Isfahan, Darab and Zabol regions in 2006 -2009. The experimental design was Randomized Complete Block with four replications. Based on the results, Golmehr cultivar with the highest grain yield (2862.2 Kg.ha-1) was selected as a desirable genotype. In addition Golmehr cultivar was classified as the best genotype in Karaj, Darab and Isfahan with an average grain of yield 3078 Kg.ha-1 for two years (2009-2001). On-farm experimental results, in Garamalek, Bandar-e-Torkaman and Ag-gala, revealed that the new cultivar superior grain yield as 2726, 2322 and 2930
Kg.ha-1 respectively.
