Plagiarism Report

In accordance with the Law for Preventing and Combating Academic Misconduct (approved August 22, 2017, by the Islamic Consultative Assembly) and its Executive Regulations (approved August 14, 2019, by the Cabinet), and the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology’s directive No. 195929 dated November 26, 2016, to protect the rights of researchers and avoid academic misconduct, corresponding authors must obtain a plagiarism report for their manuscripts and upload it along with the manuscript in the journal’s system.

 

Author Instructions

1. Writing Method: To ensure prompt review and timely publication, please adhere to the following guidelines when submitting a manuscript:

Each manuscript should be typed on A4 paper (21 × 28 cm) with 3 cm margins on all sides, single-spaced (1 cm spacing), using a 14-point B Zar font in MS Word. All pages, including those with figures and tables, should be uniform in size, and numbered. The content should not exceed 15 pages. Scientific names of plants or organisms should be italicized using 12-point Times New Roman font. Avoid using foreign terms in the text; any foreign term should be transliterated into Persian with the original term in parentheses. Punctuation rules must be observed, such as no space before a period (.), comma (,), or question mark (?), but one space after these marks is required.

 

2. Manuscript Components: Each manuscript should include a title page, abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, recommendations, acknowledgments, references, and an English abstract.

 

• Title Page: The title page should be a separate sheet containing the following:

Manuscript title, author(s) full name(s), academic rank(s), full postal address(es) (with postal code), email address(es), phone and fax numbers of the author(s), and their affiliations, and where the research was conducted. The title page should be provided in both Persian and English and signed by the author(s). If the manuscript is part of a master's or doctoral thesis, this should be indicated, and the approved research project number from which the manuscript is derived must be mentioned. The corresponding author and their email address must be clearly indicated.

The number and order of authors as specified in the initial submission will be accepted. Requests to remove, add, or change the order of authors at any stage of the review process will not be entertained.

• Title of manuscript: The title should clearly reflect the main concept of the manuscript and be concise, specific, and informative, not exceeding 25 words. The English title should follow the Persian title (with only the first letters of the main words capitalized). Author names and details should not appear on the first or any subsequent pages.
• Persian Abstract: The abstract should be a single paragraph of no more than 200 words following the title on the first page. It should provide a concise summary of the entire manuscript, emphasizing the objective, materials and methods, and key findings. Avoid any additional explanations. The abstract should be written in past tense and should not contain any evaluations or quotes. Below the Persian abstract, list up to 7 keywords in alphabetical order, which can be used for indexing.
• Introduction: This section should reference previous studies and justify the research, clearly stating the objective of the study.
• Materials and Methods: This section should detail the materials and methods used in the research, especially any novel or unique methods. For established methods, simply citing the source is sufficient. Review-analytical manuscripts do not require this section.
• Results and Discussion: This section should present results in the form of text, tables, and figures, without repeating the content. Each table should have a number, title, column headers, and content. Horizontal lines should separate the table number and title from the content, and should also appear under the table content. Do not use horizontal and vertical lines within the table content. Columns should have titles and units. Any shared unit for all table data can be indicated in the main title. Additional explanations should be provided as footnotes. Results and statistical analyses should be presented as simply as possible. Numbers in the table should be in English, and the content should be left-aligned. The table size should not exceed 20 × 12 cm. Figures should be prepared in color or black and white, sized 5.7 × 7 cm (maximum 9 × 12 cm), with English numbering. Table numbers and titles should be above the tables, and figure numbers and titles should be below the figures.

After presenting the results as described above, the results should be analyzed and discussed in light of the research objective. Comparing the results with those of similar studies in domestic and international references is essential, and should preferably be done simply. The author(s) may also provide recommendations for future research at the end of the discussion if necessary.

• Recommendations: In this section, the practical and applicable outcomes of the research to improve the productivity of field and horticulture crops should be presented.
• Acknowledgments: This section, up to four lines, should acknowledge individuals and institutions that provided guidance, assistance, funding, or facilities for the research.
• References: The credibility of a research report depends on the references cited. Proper citations introduce readers to the use of others' ideas. The referencing system has two parts:

 

1. In-text Citations: When quoting or paraphrasing from a book, journal, etc., in the text, it should be properly referenced. In this section, all mentioned references must have been cited in the manuscript. Information considered general knowledge by readers does not need to be cited. Self-citations should be for further study only. Refer to original sources whenever possible, and only use secondary sources when direct access is unavailable, clearly indicating it as such. Annual or final reports of research projects should not be cited in scientific manuscripts. The format for citing a reference in the text of the manuscript will be based on numbering within parentheses.
2. References List: At the end of the manuscript, list all cited references alphabetically by the first author's last name. The purpose of the reference list is to provide a precise and complete record of all references cited in the text of the manuscript. The aim of this list is to demonstrate the researcher's effort in reviewing and using various references, respecting the rights of other authors, and facilitating the reader's access to the desired references. All references cited in the text should be listed in the reference list. Only references cited in the text should be included in the reference section.

• Manuscripts must be uploaded and submitted by the "corresponding author" through the journal's system. The corresponding author will handle all subsequent communications.
• For clarification on these guidelines, refer to published articles in the journal.
• The journal's editorial board, with the help of experts, will review and evaluate submitted manuscripts. Accepted manuscripts will be published based on their turn.
• Authors are responsible for the content and viewpoints expressed in their manuscripts.
• The editorial board reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit manuscripts at any stage.
